Tom Baker’s Fourth Doctor is still #1 in my book — I first met the series via PBS back in the late 1970’s — but new kid in the universe, Matt Smith, holds his own so far. And Karen Gillan (as companion Amy Pond) is just cute as a button, giving Elisabeth Sladen’s Sara Jane Smith a run for her money.

Alas, not of my own choosing. Cumulatively, some serious viewing mileage. On the bright side: four hours of brain time reclaimed for other pursuits (or shelf space cleared for the next season’s offerings).
